Moodle 5 Brings a Breath of Fresh Air to the Exabis Suite
We took advantage of the updates to Moodle 5 to further develop our plugins. In addition to technical upgrades, the focus is on new features, a more modern user interface, and better integration of the individual Exabis tools.
The Exabis Suite supports a variety of scenarios for digital learning support: from competency grids and individualized learning paths to ePortfolio work, learning progress documentation, and formative assessment. With our AI plugins, Exabis AI Chat and Exabis AI Feedback, trainers can integrate AI into their lessons in a targeted manner. Different AI models can be integrated directly at the course level, independent of any central configuration by the Moodle administration.
Exabis ePortfolio: New Features
The updates to Exabis ePortfolio are particularly extensive. The Exabis ePortfolio allows participants to collect, organise and reflect on their work and learning processes, and share them within Moodle.
With the latest update, the user interface has been modernized, and the organization of pages, categories, and portfolios has been made significantly more flexible. Content sharing has also been streamlined through centralized overviews. Trainers can prepare portfolio structures and templates, integrate Moodle assignments, including feedback, more easily, and participants gain more opportunities to customize, organize, and present their work in an engaging way.

Continuous development of trusted open-source tools
With Moodle 5 and the Moodle Marketplace, a new chapter is also beginning for the Exabis Plugin Suite. Our goal remains the same: to develop open and flexible tools that support participants and trainers in designing learning processes that are personalized, competency-based, and up-to-date.
