In future, schools throughout Austria will have the opportunity to be awarded a reading seal of approval for particularly innovative and effective measures to promote reading. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, GTN is creating a plugin for the administration of a reading quality seal for Austrian schools for the education portal.

Reading: the new superpower!
Problem
A platform should be developed where schools can apply for a quality seal in relation to their students' reading skills. The schools document their progress and a jury evaluates these documents in order to award the seal of approval. The platform should be part of bildung.gv.at—a central e-government portal for Austrian schools.
Implementation
By using various interconnected technologies, it has been possible to integrate the (seemingly independent) platform into the Moodle-based education portal Austria.
